WHAT TO CONSIDER BEFORE STARTING A BLOG

Before thinking of having a blog, there are some things you need to have possessed. Bags, biro, books, amongst others are things that you will need before going to school. It is also applicable to blogging, compulsorily you must have some things before considering to be a blogger. You must also consider the importance of blogging

YOU: That is funny right? Yeah! You must be absolutely ready for the task ahead, a journey of many years. You must be determine to be a blogger. Determination to face any challenges that confront you, to face any hindrances. Most bloggers have abandoned their various blogs because of this reason. The perception of favourable environment blinded them and failed to think about the possible challenges that might arise in future thereby opening a blog without full readiness. It took me up to 2years after having a knowledge about blogging before opening a personal blog. So deceive not yourself and examine yourself whether you are ready

TIME: Very crucial in all aspect of life. “Time is money” “time is life”. You can’t blog if you don’t have enough time. You must be able to allocate a particular time to blogging and strictly stick to it. Am a part time blogger for now, don’t know what the future holds and I spend almost 6 hours blogging in line with my school or workplace activities. 

LAPTOP OR PHONE: Depending on your budget and available resources. Preferably a laptop but your phone can do a lot. Later in this eBook, I will be teaching you how to design a blog either with a phone or a laptop though having a laptop is at great advantage compare to laptop. My first blog was design with a phone, no worries. Make sure on of them is available.

ACCESS TO GOOD NETWORK: You on Wi-Fi or mobile data, is it reliable? Reconsider if it’s not especially for those into news blog. Your audience would want you to break news for them and if you fail in doing that, they might end up migrating to another blog. For the writers’ blog, you can still manage average data network but it might be frustrating sometimes.

NICHE: “Jack of all trade, master of none”. Entertainment, education, technology, news, and sport in one blog because of traffic, which is not the magnet of blog traffic. Be specialized in something i.e. have a niche, make sure you are unique in that particular niche then tons of people will be drawn to your blog

In conclusion of this aspect, before you become a blogger, you have to read a lot like reading why blogging is the new internet marketing tool. Reading has help me in becoming a successful blogger, am not bragging, just saying am a successful blogger. You have to follow the blogs that is similar to your content and niche, read their content, inspiration comes from there, also you have to write for other blogs if you want to be successful as a blogger. It is called guest post, we will be discussing it later in this book. Finally, knowledge does not ends in a place, read on how you can improve your blog.
